FOUR YEAR OLDS

COPPICE BUTTERFLY

Coppice Fanfare

ex Coppice Belle Blue
Piebald/turning blue and white to make 38/39”, born May 2004

The most delightful little filly, like a little black and white fairy when she was born.  Now turning into a very nice, chunky little girl with super limbs and body and a sweet but lively temperament.  Unshown as a yearling, Butterfly came out in 2006, earning second in the coloured two year old fillies at the SPSBS Breed Show in a very good class at only her second show.

Pictured June 2005.

COPPICE DONNA

Coppice Bandsman

ex Coppice Dolly Daydream
Black to make 37/38”, born May 2004

A smart little filly with a lovely head and good body.  Full sister to Coppice Daisy Belle, with the same good temperament and presence.  Donna is a very smart, quality filly and was placed in hand as a two year old.  She will make a super County level in hand filly, children's pony or driver.

COPPICE FELICITY

Coppice Bandsman

ex Sapphire Faith
Blue roan to make 39”, born October 2004

Faith's well-kept little secret! Despite being a winter foal, with very little grass, Faith did a super job and raised a chunky, well-made little filly with good hair and bone.  Very friendly and sweet.

Pictured May 2005.

ABBOTS FORD ICE CUBE (Lolly)

Southley Pimpernel

ex Southley Pipit

Bred by Adrian and Carolyn Dipaola
Grey colt to make 42”, born February 2004

Lolly is typical of the Southley breeding, beautiful head, masses of hair and is on the way to being well up to height.  Like all big youngsters he is taking his time to mature, but should grow up to be a valuable asset to the stud.  In 2007 he has covered a blue roan mare and a blue and white mare, with which we hope to make our own small contribution to keeping the Southley liines going.  He will also come out under saddle in 2008.

Pictured in July 2006.

THREE YEAR OLDS

COPPICE WILLOW

Coppice Bandsman

ex Seva Wednesday
Skewbald to make 38”, born April 2005

Another square, well-boned little foal from Wednesday.  Well-marked with a pretty head and very friendly and amenable.  Will started her showing career well with a second at Notts County in very good company, was first yearling at the National In Hand Show and first coloured yearling filly at the SPSBS Breed Show 2006.  In 2007 we have only had time to show her twice, recording a second at Leicester County in a very strong 2/3 year old class.

Pictured in June 2006.

...and as a foal in April 2005.

COPPICE PRUDENCE

Coppice Bandsman ex Coppice Posy
Chestnut (flaxen mane & tail) to make 40+”, born May 2005

A very attractive filly with a good body, short cannons and masses of substance.  Good, strong chestnut colour like her father.  So friendly that she won't stop following you around the field.   Will be retained.

RICCALTON MARIGOLD

Claylands Chieftain ex Riccalton Crocus

Bred by Mrs C E Logan
Chestnut roan to make 40+”, born 18 May 2005

A beautiful filly, gorgeous colour, lovely head and eye.  We were very lucky to be able to buy her as a yearling from Connie Logan.  She will go to Abbotsford Ice Cube next year to cement the Southley/Riccalton connection.
Pictured in June 2007.
